DNGs from Lightroom load ok, but not DNG HDRs from LR
I keep seeing related posts that are several years old, but wanted to create a new one given how old many of those threads are. Basically I can't get HDR DNG files from Lightroom to load into CO. Basic facts:
- Shooting raw on Nikon (D850), as NEF files
- Using Lightroom for initial ingest
- Using Capture One Pro 14.2.0.48
- Pano merges are fine... I can merge panos in LR to DNG and those load fine into CO.
- Any sort of HDR merging in Lightroom produces a DNG file that CO simply ignores. Can't even see it to import it.
- The Photomatix plugin seems to flatten to 8 bit or something... I lose all my range with it.
This is frustrating, as I would much prefer to use the editing toolset offered by CO to edit my HDR DNGs. How can I get CO to recognize the HDR DNGs I'm generating out of LR?

C1 does not support all possible DNG variants. C1 basically supports directly out of camera DNGs and DNGs created by converting camera raw files to DNG with the original raw file embedded. I am sure you can find the official facts and fine details by searching the C1 knowledge base. Here is a link to a fairly recent posting https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003336397-Improved-DNG-support

Thank you! That's informative. 16-bit TIFF files seem to retain the range I need so I can use that for now. I just much prefer CO's control over high dynamic range settings.
