Capture One not starting on new laptop - "incompatible program"

I've bought a new laptop with an Intel 11th gen processor and RTX 3050 graphics card. 

Problem is: I can't get Capture One 20 to run. On my desktop PC it works without a hitch, it's running the same Windows version with the same driver versions for the GPU etc.

So after rebooting a couple times I ran the compatibility check and it says "incompatible program".

I really hope this does not mean what I think it means. 

EDIT: Here's a "workaround": install CaptureOne 21 as well. For some reason I was able to start and activate CaptureOne 20 afterwards.
