Check box in settings to show session selection dialogue on startup
There should be an option to open CO to the session selection dialogue, in preferences.
For those who work with sessions, opening the previous session is often not what we want to do, the session selection dialogue can ( allegedly ) be called up at startup by pressing and holding the ALT key, drawing a pentagram in salt and pledging allegiance to the Dark Lord, but it doesn't always work.
Please create an option in preferences to show this dialogue at startup by default. It will save opening the wrong session, going to the File menu, opening the session/creating a new session as you actually wanted, closing the session that you don't want to work on, then muttering about the frustration of it all.

Mac or Windows? Holding Alt while I click the icon works every time for me (Mac) though you have to keep holding Alt until the dialog appears.

I use Windows, but I think the option would be good for both OS.

The ALT key has never worked for me on Windows with any CO version. It always brings up the last session or catalog which is not what I usually want. It is annyoing to open the desired session/catalog and close the other one.
