Version 22 doesn't work on macOS 10.14.6 !?

Did you come here to ask a question? This is a forum for users of Capture One - we are not Capture One and we can't influence that kind of decision.

I would guess that it is unlikely that Capture One would re-engineer Capture One 22 to provide support for Mojave (MacOS 10.14). I believe some users have managed to make it work on Mojave, but if you did, the answer to any problems would be that it is unsupported. But you could always download the trial of version 22 and give it a go. I suspect that whether it works or not will depend on your individual set-up, and other users' results may not be the same as yours.

... and of course an alternative to Photoshop is Affinity Photo - they also offer a free trial period, and it is a lot cheaper than Photoshop.

    thanks Ian

I have been using and buying Photoshop since 1994
I stopped at the "perpetual" version CS6, I just need to retouch my work files with Nikon Z5 and Z7

I bought C1 20-21 to capture the files in thetering (instead of Nikon camera control) and develop the Raw (instead of Adobe Camera Raw)
Now I would gladly spend the € 169 for a perpetual update
but I'm not going to upgrade the OS and have to buy Photoshop CC and other programs that wouldn't work with macOS 10.15
I don't know Affinity Photo, it scares me to learn a new program again at 66 :)

If you are familiar with Photoshop CS6, I suspect that Affinity Photo wouldn't be a huge change. The difference in how you use it between Photoshop and Affinity is less, in my view, than between Lightroom and Capture One.

probably the only solution is to also buy "Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022" costs about 100 €

I have to inquire to understand what has less than the "Pro" version

or if Affinity is better (which costs half)

    Hi, Antonio!

I did update Capture One to version 22 on my two macs, of which one is still running 10.14.6 because I'm using an even older version of adobe's creative suite (CS5) and Lightroom 6.14.

My second, newer Mac of course is on macOS 11 and 12, where I do the most of my photo edits in CO.

So, I can confirm that at least version CO22 v15.0.1 runs on 10.14.6. Keep in mind that the programmers could change this with CaptureOne22 v15.2 or maybe later this year... as they officially never promised.

So you could start using co22 now on your old system and IF it really stops working after an update you could THEN upgrade the macOS and decide which Photoshop alternative you buy. (I barely use my Photoshop CS5 copy anymore, it's Affinity Photo all the time...)

    Thanks Wolfgang

please confirm me that CO22 v15.0.1 runs on MacOS 10.14.6 ?

I currently use the Nikon version, this only enables one PC
Can this multi-brand version be installed on two PCs or do you have to "turn off" one?

    Toni

P.S. I made a request to the staff, I have not received an answer yet.

I can confirm 15.0.1 runs on my 10.14.6 intel Haswell iMac with integrated intel iris graphics (no dedicated graphics chip...) and 16 GB ram.

I use the Pro version as I have a canon and often times get RAWs from other photographers, which use nikon.

It can be kept activated on two macs at the same time but I never really used them at the same time.

It may be that although for Wolfgang it can be activated on two Macs, that may be different for you because he has the Pro (all cameras) version and you have the Nikon version. Check what your licence says, and take a look at the recent announcement about the ending of the brand specific versions.

    I'm happy
so I will be able to process the files of my old Sony A7 full spectrum well, (camera Raw is not able to correct the files taken with UV filters)

Ian... single-brand versions disappear, there are only pro (or perpetual or annual) subscriptions
