Importing into old session when importing new files from memorycard
Hi guys
I'm kind of new to Capture One and I'm learning everyday.
I've shot tether a few times recently and created a new session for every shoot I've done.
However, everytime I do a "normal" shoot without tether where I plug my memorycard into my Mac and the Import-screen pops up, it doesn't allow me to make a new session. Resulting in my imports from the new shoot goes into the old session from when I shot tether.
Do I miss anything in the import process? It doesn't look like I can create a new session while I import. Right now I have to remember to close the import-screen, create a new session and then manually import the photos - it seems a but counter intuitive :-)
Hope there's a solution and it's just me that hasn't figured it out yet...
Thank you!

Niki,
You should be able to first create a new session and then import to that session.
Now some detail thoughts.
C1 will tend to open and take you back to a "last used" state. Therefore you are likely to be taken back to the last used session. This seems to be what you are experiencing.
There is then an option to allow or disallow multiple sessions to be open at the same time.
If you have that set to only allow one session to be open I think you would then have a slightly clumsy set of actions before you could open a new session for your new import.
If you ALLOW multiple sessions (or sessions and catalogues) to be open at the same time then you should simply be able to create a new session, select it as the active session and import directly to it.
I appreciate that this is not a step by step description of what you may need to do but before putting you to all the trouble of reading such a description it would be useful to know a little bit more about what you have tried and how your Preferences are defined.
