C1 22 not reading external hard drive
I having always been working with external hard drives with no problems. This morning when I tried to access some sessions I get the message "this session failed basic tests - verify and repair it?" I then press verify and repair and get the message "database connection failed"
Does anyone know how to resolve this. I saw on a previous post to go to Privacy - files and folders and give check drive has permission ut when I go into this section on my Mac I do not have have a "files and Folders" section.
Can anyone help please.

David - if you don't have the Files and Folders section in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy, what version of MacOS are you on? (If I remember rightly it may be a fairly recent thing.)

... also you could try searching the forum for posts about the "database connection failed" error. I think I have seen it mentioned before, but I can't remember what the cure was said to be.

There doesn't appear to be anything on this subject.

I have been trying to establish what happened this morning. The session opened up and I was about to work on some images when my Macbook crashed. I am assuming that it was not ale to verify anything before it was shut down. Would this throw on light on a resolution?
