Two areas where C1 lags Lightroom: High ISO noise reduction and lens profiles
ImplementedI generally love C1 and have used it since I was shooting professionally with PhaseOne backs. However, I've seen how much better Lightroom handles high ISO noise reduction since getting a Canon R5 with its superior high ISO performance and shooting less in the studio and more in situations where I want to take advantage of its ability to get decent looking images in low light conditions. PhaseOne needs to look at what competitor programs are able to do and meet or exceed this!
The other area is how CaptureOne seems to take so much longer than in the past to develop and release lens profiles. For example, the Canon RF 24-70 lens is excellent except it has massive color fringing and distortion at its widest range. This is handled well in Lightroom at its default settings. With CaptureOne I can go in and adjust the settings to get good results but I rarely needed to do this years ago when almost all the lenses I was using had C1 profiles.
I really don't want to give up on CaptureOne. I feel for most images it is capable of giving better results than Lightroom and other processors. However, I am already at the point of using Lightroom for high ISO images, and the slow release (or complete lack) of lens profiles for key professional grade lenses is frustrating.

Official comment
Hi Ric,
Thank you for your feedback on Capture One - we appreciate the time you’ve taken to contribute towards the development of the software.
I have forwarded your suggestion to improve the ISO noise reduction tool to our Product Management team as something to consider in a future release.
Hopefully, your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.
Whilst we cannot comment on future releases, we take all suggestions on board.
Thanks again for the time you took to make Capture One better!

Sorry but Lightroom is the last program in the world I would associate with good denoising, really the very last.
The best at the moment is PhotoLab 5 from DxO which I use for denoising and then edit the images in Capture One.
