Importing incorrect capture date

The camera file capture date is 8/15/2021 as seen in Photo Mechanic. However when I copy the photos over into Capture One folder, it is showing a date of 01/03/2019.

I just did a test shot and the same date of 2019 is on the metadata file in Capture One. I confirmed that the date and time stamp on the camera is today as well as in Photo Mechanic!

I've used Capture One for years and have never faced the problem I am having today. 

I need the date  to be corrected on Capture One as I have to work with photos for specific days separately, any help would be greatly appreciated.
