    10% or 90%?

    Hmm.

Do you want a country in an enforced price lockdown or somewhere that, in a closed market, is free to do as it likes based on its projections for the future?

Another option would be "Neither of the above" - but then we may all be in a place with some very strange worlds to march through.

The future competition may not be other developers of similar tools but an international quorum of governments desperate to make their economic numbers look vaguely rational in order to retain voters to their cause (only where voters are necessary) in order to prolong their tenure in positions of power and influence.

I saw a headline today that indicated how the largest camera manufacturers were very likely to significantly increase prices for camera bodies and lenses very soon.

Why would any developer of software (something that seems to be required in order for the manufacturers to have a form of user market) see a benefit to reducing prices unless they could satisfy the demand (if there is any) by finding cost cuts they could apply?

If they could find those cost cuts, what would they be?

Think about this lets say 99% of the people out there using they Capture one for 12E ish YOU make so much vs only 5% using capture one, any big gaming knows this its called marketing knowledge and the model is so simple and that's why big gaming companies make more money in 1 month in you will make in 3 years

Let's say you stop making up completely arbitrary, irrelevant "facts" to support your facile argument - and in a completely inappropriate sub-forum, to boot?

(Seriously - if you can't even get that right, why should we take any of your opinions seriously?)

I'm going to guess that Capture One knows a damn' sight more about running a successful software company than a random, anonymous Talking Head on an internet forum who should really probably just work a bit harder - then he'd be able to afford the software.
