Does it started specifically with macOS 11.5.2? At the moment I'm still at the very previous release (11.5.1) and no crash so far.

The best approach for diagnose should be to share with C1 developers the crash information that should appear in a window after the crash happens. If I were you I'd contact their technical support for more info.

Ciao Fabrizio, thanks for the reply. It's not a new problem, as far as I can remember Capture One 21 has never been particularly stable for me but seems worse lately.
I'll do as you suggest and save the next crash report and contact C1.

    Hello Philip and Fabrizio,

14.3.1.10 is less often crashing than 14.2, but it's also slower by a huge margin.

Producing previews for 300 imported RAWs now takes roughly 10-13 minutes, that was never that slow on this machine.

Im still on macOS 10.15.7 so it's good to read that an update isn't helping against this buggy software. As far as I can see, the developers got rid of some "background processes" which couldn't finish their jobs because of crashing. So, when renaming 20 files *crash appears* the files have new names in the finder but not in the catalog, therefore broken reference links need repair. That depended of what I was doing before the crash - after it I needed to check which task was finished and which just appeared to be finished. After the 15th crash of 14.3.2 I lost interest in counting them. I did send in the crash reports. Well, most of it. But seeing what changed between 14.2 and 14.3 I do hesitate to continue doing this.

Maybe I misread, but somebody called this bug-nest a "professional software"? Or I need to adjust my concept of "professionalism". [/sarcasm]

Btw. good to see you here again Fabrizio, as OL became rather dull.
