Immediate crash at the first editing step

My CO crashes at the very first editing step I do. It doesn't matter what exact step I choose first. It immediate crashes.

I work with a MacBook Pro 15" (2018) with macOS 11.5.1. - latest version of CO.

Can anyone help me?

    I found out, that the catalog is the problem. If I use a new one, CO does NOT crash anymore. What can I do to work with my old catalog in a proper way?

    Problem solved: I started a new catalog, imported the old one into the new and now it works.
