How stop new sessions opening with guidelines

When you open a new session are you using a Template by any chance?

Just wondering if such a "previously in use when last saved" setting might be stored in a "user" related setting somewhere.  Might it also be a default setting for the Workspace that is automatically associated with the session when it is opened?

Do you always name new sessions when you create them - i.e. at the point of creation.

If it's not a template related activity I'm not sure what to suggest other than to open a new session, disable the guides and then close it without doing anything else. Re-open to create a new session and see whether anything has changed.

Likewise consider whether the Workspace settings might be the cause by doing something similar and disabling the Guides then saving the Workspace.

Thanks. Those were nice ideas, but didn't solve the problem. I am creating and naming each session independently with no templates used. I tried recreating a couple of my workspaces with a session opened and guides deleted, but that did no good either. It's not like it's a big problem, just an annoyance, so I may be stuck with it.
