Creating variants leads to odd C1 behaviour (unexpected quits and loss of masks)

Hello I’ve been having problems creating new variants ever since the 14.3 update (latest 14.3.1 didn’t fix this). Whenever I create a new variant and I try to quit the program after doing some light editing on said variant, the program seems to “quit unexpectedly” (giving me the error message). After a couple of restarts (looks to be a random amount from my tests) the software stops recognising the masks on the original edit (the one I used to create a new variant) and I get the error message that the masks cannot be retrieved and are replaced by empty masks. This has happened multiple times for me and it happens on both old (pre 14.3 edited) photos and new photos. Anyone familiar with this issue? Is there a fix available? Very much a dealbreaker if I can only edit one version of every shot I take… Thanks!

    It's been happening to me too since version 14.3. The release notes to 14.3.1 state .... "Fixed an issue where copying masks between images might cause them to disappear".  

    I've submitted a support ticket.
