If you change a folder name in Finder, isn't any app that has constructed a catalog of images going to run into the same problems? What happens, for instance, in Lightroom when you do it?

Yes EtMRS, true ... C1 it is not a DAM app, but who killed MediaPro? CaptureOne company.

Are there any substitute that you know of?

And besides that, if catalogs are not made to do Digital assets managements what are they conceived for?

Ciao Ian, sorry to bother you...

but was it you that gave me such kind suggestions regarding some great DAM app that I cannot find it in this thread anymore...  was your nick EtMRS at that time? Or was somebody else that deleted his account? I left the matter unresolved  and now I that I need it cannot find the message anymore

    thanks!

Hallo EtMRS, thank you! You have my full support on this matter!!!

"that we prefer using an external application to select our pictures."

can you tell us more how you manage your DAM workflow out of C1? I remember being given some great advises

I'll keep this question on this thread to keep the other clean or I can repost there if you prefer
