Imported sessions inside catalog - folder structure messed up
Capture one 10.2
I started with a new catalog I added a group and a subgroup to User Collections, and also added an Album
User Collections
-GROUP
-SUB GROUP
ALBUM
Then I started importing sessions and after each I moved them under the subgroup folder
User Collections
>GROUP
>SUB GROUP
ALBUM
>Session 1
>Session 2
>Session 3
>Session 4
>Session 5
The next day I opened my catalog to resume working but I noticed the following
User Collections
>GROUP
>SUB GROUP
ALBUM
>Session 1
Session 2
>Session 3
Session 4
Session 5
Favorites
Favorites
>Session Folders
Selects
>Albums
>Favorites
FiveStars
>Albums
So basically it looks like some of the sessions I moved to inside the folder are not expandable anymore and somehow got their contents moved to the root level. Multiply the above scenario by 10x because I had a lot of sessions, so there is now a lot of clutter in my User Collections.
I tried to check the catalog integrity and validate, and it says it failed. Then I tried repair, but the messed up folder structure remains.
Not sure how to fix it. I already added all the images to the ALBUM so is it safe to remove those extra session folders?
EDIT: I went ahead and tried deleting all the session folders that were created from the import, along with all the extra folders that were moved to the root location. Everything looked ok, but when I closed Capture one and then reopened it, everything was back the way it was before I deleted the folders. So basically the changes I made had no effect and I'm stuck with this messy looking folder structure.
I noticed every time I delete folders/sessions, it corrupts the database (fails verification) and I have to repair. So I have to delete a few, verify, repair then delete some more etc. Not sure why the deletion is causing corruption each time.

It is said that importing a faulty catalog into a new catalog can sometimes fix it.
First, create a backup of the catalag and adjustments.
Then try
- Create a new empty catalog.
- Repair your current catalog. Don't open it.
- Import your catalog into the new catalog.
- Look what the new catalog shows. Close and open again, look again.
