Have you seen that they have promised some changes to address users' concerns about the new Export features? Coming in 14.4, in September.

    Hi,

that really is a not good working "feature" as it brutally decreases my worklflow. From checking colorvalues, depending on the Exportpresets and its ICC-Proflies, to exporting fast in subfolders based on the filenames (copy, paste, strg+d) and the always available Arrow-button as fast Link to that Exportfolder.

Hopefully that register comes back soon.

Yes, the old process recipe tool, be it floating or in a tab, you need only one click to change the profile. The exporting functionality will come back I think, I am not so sure about the fast profile switching. The new softproof button is one click less than via the View menu, but one click more (and longer mouse movements) than the process recipe tool.

I agree with the other points too.

    Christian,

Don't forget you can check at a glance your colour profile and recipe using the "recipe proofing" tool (the glasses), which has now a developed menu with your various recipes, and before any export process. This is very convenient IMHO. But I agree with you that the new export tool is not as user-friendly as the old one. Maybe we must be used to it, but I hope some improvements will be implemented in the next update (14.4) planned for September.

As I understand it the original intention was to link almost everything to a pre-defined profile.

Once required profiles are defined for one's most used outputs and all variations of them other than, say, output folder naming, the "checks" for any Proofing would be automatic once the recipe is selected.

In theory that should make the workflow simpler - so long as one has some regular and often used export/output requirements.
