Show only the cropped image in Browser

Hi, is it possible to display the only the cropped image in the browser without these darkened space around? Like in the viewer. I often make square edits and it would be better to watch a selection.

    No, there is no facility for doing that. But if people keep requesting it, who knows? (Personally, I prefer it as it is now, but I know some others think differently. If they change it, I would hope it would be an option, rather than the new normal.)

    thanks Ian, maybe i have missed it. yes i wish this as an option too.

    a light table would be even better - good for exhibitions and editorial layouts.
