File for Book in CMYK
Hi, I would like some advice on how to manage color profiles on capture One 21 pro. 14.3.0. my files are always in RGB profile, (Adobe RGB, Srgb etc.). When they ask me for photos for book printing in CMYK, is it sufficient to export them with this processing or do you have to prepare the files starting from a CMYK photo? for example process a black and white photo that is already in C1 in CMYK? I thank you in advance and greet you cordially.

Hi,
Usually, I prepare all my photos in a RGB space, and check them with the CMYK profile provided by the editor/printer. If some colours are not as good as I'd like to be, I process to some corrections under the CMYK profile, but I ALWAYS send my images under RGB, as requested by the printer. Are you sure your printer needs you to send images with a CMYK profile ?

Thanks, it's clear to me. Actually the printer was not clear regarding the job profiles originally. therefore in any case it is advisable to check the file in Capture 1 with the profile provided by the printer and then always export in RGB. thank you very much.
