How to export a single channel for saving space storage using Capture ONE 20 CH?

    Giacomo,

    Two thoughts about your question.

Firstly it may be worth noting that JPG2000 support has been dropped in V21. Presumably hardly anyone is using it and some other factors have influenced the decision to stop support.

Secondly, there may be very few CH users visiting this forum and those that are may not have answers for you.

As you probably know C1 does not support editing of single channel images.

Whether CH offers more that regular Capture One I have no idea. DO you have a Capture One CH specialist partner you can ask?

The only thing I can see in the Output Process Recipes (V20 assumed as this post is in the V20 section of the forum) is the option to use a monochrome-based ICC Profile for the output file. Whether this helps with the files size question AND still satisfies your long-term archive/future editing requirements is not something I can comments about  - but you may be able to quickly test and compare results.

Or ask a CH partner what they would recommend to suit your needs.

I hope that helps in some way.

    Hello SFA,

Thanks for the update and quick reply. I'll be sure to keep an eye on this thread. Looking for the same IndigoCard issue. Bumped into your thread. Thanks for creating it. Looking forward for solution.
