Rendering Preview Files in Blocks

Can somebody tell me why capture one pro 20/21 only render a couple hundred at a time?

I have to keep switching from capture folder to another and back to over and over again to get all the photo previews rendered, what am I doing wrong? Same thing with the last ver.20.
