Cursor tool sighting

Is there a way in which the mouse / Wacom tool pointer function can be given colour, so it is easily recognizable?

In everyday work and therefore when in the move function, I have changed the pointer to green - easy to find / track.

Is there a way to maintain/change the colour to suit other cursor tools?

It can prove difficult and time-consuming trying to find or track down a white cursor tool on a white / brightly coloured image.
