Migrating Catalog from MacOS to Windows

I couldn't find something specific in the forum about migrating a c1 catalog from mac to windows. My problem: If I open a referenced catalog I built on MacOS in Windows, images  start to "disappear" during the process of connecting to the originals when having clicked "find". The number of images found isn't nearly as big as the original number. Has anyone done this successfully before? Is there any way to do this?
