Have you checked for the Voltage values on the connection ports?

How do you check that? Does that mean i should try to change my tether cable? My tether cable for mk4 is usb3 and i am using type c hub port to connect it since new macbook pro only have type c port.

I'm having the same issues with my mark4 with tethertools cable and coming up with camera error saying that it's not set up right, even though i've shot on here. having issues with connectivity and frequent disconnections coming up with all sorts of errors

    I am desperate too!!

    Did u manage a solve?

As I recall the recommendation is to use a powered hub to connect the cable and therefore obtain a likely more consistent voltage.

Some years ago I obtained a small device that can be plugged into a USB port to measure voltage through the port to a cable connected to it. It's USB 2 but I am fairly certain I have seen similar devices available for later USB port types.

It is possible that modern machines have some built-in monitoring options for port voltage values but I am not familiar with Macs and have yet to read a comment suggesting that such information can be easily monitored by users.
