Cannot edit freshly imported TIFF

Dear all,

I'm just wondering what happend, ..., compared to two months ago when everything worked fine.

I scanned some negatives and created TIFF files out of the scans. These files were imported into C1 (14.3.1). But unfortunately I cannot edit them. All files show the pencil with the red crossed line in the bottom left corner.

The files are on a external SSD (like the files from 2 months ago) & the disk is connected.

maybe it has something to do with my upgrade to MacOS BigSur? or the C1 upgrade to the latest version?

    B&W negatives?  Scanned using Grayscale instead of RGB?  Capture One doesn't do Grayscale.   If that is your issue re-scan as RGB and import again.

    thank you for your quick answer! I'll give it a try ... and yes .. I scanned them as 16bit grayscale. I'll do it tomorrow in the office and let you (this thread) know, if you're interested in the results.

    Update: did a profile-conversion to sRGB in PS and re-imported the files in C1 and ... yes, they work.

    Unfortunately the file-size increased more than 3 times ... but that's another topic.
