Is it possible to restore personal workspace settings from an existing catalog to a new installation of CO 14.1.3? ?
I had to reinstall windows, and have re-installed and activated Capture One 14.3.1 successfully. I opened my 2 day old backup catalog, BUT, the folders were not showing their structure (as on the disk), my personal workspace settings are missing, my customized tool bar is missing, and I cannot empty out "recent imports",
Is there a way to retrieve these settings?
Please help.
Thank you

Gerry,
Did you have to format the disk as part of re-installing Windows?
Some of the dynamic (and not so dynamic) data files are saved in the Windows Appdata folder (By User and I think still a hidden folder by default.)
I'm not sure about "recent imports" - I don't use catalogs - but personalised Workspaces are saved in that area and the files for the "last used" dynamic settings are also saved in a userconfig file in the same area.
These may be part of a general system backup but are not part of a Catalog backup.
I'm not sure if this will help you but it may offer up some ideas of what to look at next.

Hi SFA,
Yes, I did have to reformat the drive. I've looked, and even in windows old, the file does not appear to be there. So,
by inference, it looks like I'll have to rebuild my workspace and tool bar. Oh, well......
Thanks for your kind help.
Gerry
