Issue with watermark

I will assume you have the default setting for the Preferences that turns on "Use Hardware Acceleration" .

Try setting that to "Never" for Processing and re-run the export to see if it makes any difference. The answer may provide some guidance about what to look at next.

I can not insert a png (watermark) in any of the output files.

    Hello SFA,

Thank you for your suggestion. Disabling hardware acceleration for processing helped so now the watermark shows perfectly in the exported image.

For any Capture One people reading this: My GFX card is a nVIDIA RTX 2060 SUPER with the latest drivers installed (472.12). Windows 10, 21H1 with the latest updates installed.

    /Martin

EDIT: Heh! Literally just received notice about the 14.4.0.101 release of Capture One moments after I posted the above: I've installed it and I am happy to report that I have no issues exporting TIF with watermarks now, even with acceleration enabled.

I just installed the latest version. I have tried acceleration on and off. The problem I have is that the watermark (png or text) works as always as long as I am in the Export from the menu bar. When I try it from the toolbar that they just put back, I do not see the watermark. However, I can move it with the move button in the watermark tool. I see the pixels move. I see the result of my move when I go back into the menu export. But the watermark is invisible in the tool (what they just added back in). And this is not related to the PNG or text, These png files have been here for at a year or more. And they work perfectly in the Export menu on the toolbar.

    Anyone else seen this?

I have submitted a ticket too.

I have the same problem. It worked fine in the toolbar in the beginning, but when I opened the Export window and activated the watermark tool there, the watermark on the image disappered. It only shows in the Export window. If you open the Export window and minimize it, you`ll see the sliders moves in both the toolbar and Export window. Seems to be a bug here. (Sorry for bad English)

Jan, I got a response (quick too). Saying that this looks like a software bug and the ticket and support documents were sent to the team.

I am using just the menu Export function and it is working all the time for me.

For watermarks for me in the most recent update I don't have the vertical slider (when using a graphic) and I can't see the watermark before exporting unless I turn on proofing... this some annoying change.

Has anyone here, made any progress with the watermark issue? I'm having the same issue as Denis Giroux. I'm working with the 'proofing' turned on to be able to see where my watermark sits across my image. Hoping there are some updates since this was over 3 weeks ago now. Thanks all!

Hi, I had written to tech support after I put in my comment. They answered right away and what they told me is that the requirement to turn on proofing to be able to see watermarks was actually considered, not a bug. It's not a terribly good feature if you ask me.

The latest update did fix the issue I was having with the missing 'vertical' slider.

Thank you Denis! It kind of makes some sense but not to those coming from the previous version of C1. Thanks for resolving for me. :)
