Sony A7iV RAW
Is there going to be support for Sony A7iV raw files in Capture One 21? I just upgraded C121 last July and now my new camera is apparently not supported 2 months after release?
I see it is supported in 22. Are you saying I have to spend another $300 6 months later in order to use the product?

"We" aren't saying - you're talking to users - but yes, that's precisely how it works, and how it always has.

It's a freaking line of code not a complete upgrade. I don't mind upgrading similar to an "expansion pack" for say $30, but $300/yr is ridiculous simply to be able to read a file from the same camera brand. I was new to Capture One last year. It does some things better than LR and but is much slower processing. I got sick of the subscription model at Adobe and paying for products I don't use. I don't mind paying for significant upgrades, but simply to read the same brand camera file is horrible. (thanks for the response. I understand I'm talking to users...still leaves a bad taste for the product and company)

Absolutely agree with you, just ran into this same problem today - totally fine with paying for major upgrades where there are new features. Forcing users to buy the latest software all over just when they are still trying to read files from the same brand is greedy and ridiculous

Add me to the list moved to CaptureOne last October just got the A7iv today and finds out about this. I guess this make LR subscription seem cheap. I will just move back to LR still cheaper than paying a yearly license at full price.
