    What version do you use?

The thickness of the lines were increased in the later version so that they're easier to see – but more difficult to place correctly as they now block out what you try to align them with. There's no way of changing their appearance in version 20.

I found a workaround after I posted my original question.  I use the levels tool to alter the image so the keystone lines contrast better with the image, and then undo the level change when I'm done with the keystone work.

    Roy,

You could probably make it even safer if you put the Levels change on a Layer and then som-ly untick or delete the layer when you are done?

Also, you should find that keystone lines and positional points are always the same sizes no matter the zoom level you have applied. So if you have an opportunity to make use of the Zoom facilities in C1 in some circumstances the reference points may be more clearly visible.

There is also the option to skip the reference point and use the tool directly which may work in some situations.
