Help! I downloaded "For Nikon" by mistake, and now it won't allow me to get the version that can read all files.
Hello.
I'm really frustrated. I bought the latest Capture One for Mac and clicked "Nikon specific". I realized my mistake shortly afterwords when I couldn't read older shoots from my Canon-shot files. I cancelled my "Nikon-specific" version, and bought the generic version. Annoyingly, whenever I download the program, it is still ONLY giving me the Nikon version. HELP! I just want to be able to talk to a live technician.

This might work:
Option 1: Deactivate from within Capture One on your machine (Capture One menu, License option). That's worked for me, but I'm only activating/deactivating for one version of C1 and you're trying to change versions.
1. Sign into your Capture One account
2. Click on the Manage Your Account button.
3. Click on "Manage Licenses" and then deactivate the license on your computer. After that I'd expect you to be able to open Capture One on your computer, enter your Pro activation code and be set.
Another option is to completely remove Capture One and all of its support files using the "uninstall Capture One" procedure on their website.
Last option would be to contact Support.

Blake,
As Abbott has written, the specifc "flavour" of Capture One is not based on the download selected but rather the activation key that comes with the purchase.
If you previously activated the "for Nikon" version, just follow the steps that Abbott listed, being sure to enter the new activation code for the "full" version and all should be well.
