Sony a99ii teathering help please.

I'm struggling to figure how to weather a Sony a99ii. The camera tells me to "Check the connected device" when I connect it to my MacBook Pro via the micro USB cable and C1 tells me that there is "No Camera Connected". advise on camera and C1 configuration would be gratefully accepted.
