Are you saying the changes apply automatically without the camera being moved?

    Which camera?

    Are you shooting directly downwards?

Im sure its an easy fix. But when im shooting tethered the image keeps flipping and I dont know how to change the crop.

Yeah shooting directly downwards + normal position..

    thanks!

I've often seen this with Canon cameras when shooting with the camera pointing straight down or almost straight down, regardless of how the camera's supported. For reasons I don't understand, the camera seems to get confused and registers landscape images as portrait format (i.e. rotates them 90°). This is on EOS 7D Mark II, 5Ds R, 5D Mark IV and even my fairly new EOS R5. The weird thing is that sometimes the rotation doesn't happen, while usually it does. I wish I could figure out what the trigger is; apparently it's related to the orientation the camera "thinks" it's in. Has nothing to do with Capture One, as the images display the same way on the LCD after taking the picture. I don't know about Fuji.

easy fixed,  turn of auto rotation in your camera settings, than select the orientation you want in c1

Thank you! What about the auto crop? How do I turn that off?

at default c1 applies the last setting used for the incoming images so I would reset cropping and see what happens.
