Capture One on Windows 11?
Hi all,
Anyone who has tried to run Capture One on Windows 11 yet?

Tried it on my Win 11 desktop, it hung on start up, stuck on "loading documents ..."
Had to kill it from Task Manager. Was running 14.2, then upgraded to the latest 14.4.0.101. Both versions exhibited the same problem. BTW, Win 11 is not officially supported.

I've been so worried about this. my windows 10 just sent me an update remainder that I will be able to update to the Windows 11. But I'm not sure if Capture one will support it.

Let's hope the next update will support Win 11 officially.
I'm keeping my notebook with Win 10 for C1 use.

You are very brave people to dive into Windows 11 at this point in its development.

Guess some of us had to try it ... :)
Afterall, I do have two computers to work with, so keeping the more powerful computer in Windows 10 for Capture One use.
Though Windows 11 is far from mature, it is not as bad as some older versions (Vista, Win 8). I do need to upgrade Canon and Fujitsu scanner software to the latest versions for them to work in Windows 11. There is still non-essential audio software having trouble with, otherwise, Windows 11 is fine for daily use.

Hi Vincent,
I have an aged Canon printer which works well enough. It's from a time when inkjet printers had become quite mature in their capabilities and are adequate for small printing needs.
I was, briefly, surprised when I discovered there was no driver available for Win 10.
But then I guess it is just a matter of industry planned obsolescence by the printer manufacturers.
I have not tried my scanner but would expect the same problem. However, I have not used to for years and still have Win 7 machines so it's not much of a concern at the moment.
GPU drivers may be a challenge at some point when supplies of components fire up the market again.

After 2021-10 Cumulative Update (KB5006674) applied to Windows 11 Pro, Capture One v14.3.1.14 is running fine, with hardware accleration turned on using Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655. Display and export functions all worked fine. May try to upgrade to the latest version when I get some time.
For SFA, my Canon scanner is old too, LIDE 700F. I am using VueScan x64 v9.7.67 without installing Canon drivers, it also work in Linux environments.

Thanks for the Canon Scanner info.
I have a Lide 20 that came with a printer I bought as a spare parts machine. However, my main scanner is Epson (4990) although as I mentioned it is a very long time since I last used it. Modern computers probably don't offer compatible connections any more.

No problems with Windows 11 here. Using 14.4 Pro latest.

Don, thank you for sharing your success. Re-install 14.4.0.101, works now. The startup issue was gone. Happy to stay with the latest version.
For SFA, VueScan has built-in support for Epson Perfection 4990 for Win 10 and 11, no Epson driver required.
