14.4 crashing and Nik plug-ins no longer work

14.2 was pretty stable and still works great on my 2020 macbook pro. However 14.4 on my 2015 imac 27"  i5 24gb ram (both on latest Big Sur 11.6)    14.4 crashes every 20 minutes or so and I've sent reports back to Capture one.   Nik (old set) work fine on 14.2 and capture doesnt crash. 

Any ideas on how to fix?  Can i revert back to 14.2? (manage library was upgraded though) 

Been spending yearly on this product and could have Lightroom for free from my work. Thinking of bailing.
