Creating unique folder names with tokens

I store photos in folders named for the place and date of the shoot. Once processed, I generally output the results in one to several pieces to separate folders to facilitate upload to my blog. I name the output folder after the input folder and have added the minutes and seconds of the current time to make the name unique. This way if I output several folders, they are all different. The problem is that this doesn't always work. Sometimes the files are split into two (or more folders) if the time changes and if I'm too quick, I can get the same folder used twice. Is there a way using tokens to make each output folder unique? I *really* don't want to have to type in a field to get a unique name each time. That seems to defeat the purpose of having tokens. Please help.
