Won't load proxies in Mac OS M1

Hello

Capture One has suddenly stopped loading proxy images for all files on import - I am using a MacBook Pro M1 and iMac M1.  Images that are sharp in camera won't load with only one in about 6 images being usable.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have just done the most recent software update and it has not made a difference :(. Slightly desperate!  Don't want to have to shift back to Lightroom!

Thanks for any help / advice.  I'm a bit stumped!
