Import Setting Defaults?

In the first paragraph you seem to be saying that you want Capture One to delete images from the card after import, but in the second paragraph you seem to say that you don't want the images deleted from the card. A typo?

I don't know of a way to save the settings you specify. You can apply presets, but that's about it.

I'd recommend always deleting the images in the camera and never on the computer. Although rare, deleting images with the computer can cause problems when the camera tries to use the card, which is fixed by reformatting the card in the camera. I'd encourage you to instead import the images and make a backup and then reformat the card in your camera.

Yes thats just a typo, wich i corrected now.
I'm feeling quite comfortable deleting the images from the card after import. I never had the case of deleted images at import. But i understand your point.

However if find it strange not being able to set defaults for the importer.

There are a number of this sort of quirky behavior. I do a bit of printing and am constantly irritated that the Print dialog can't remember which printer I used last, can't save all settings in a printing preset, and can't remember how I had the print dialog tools set (nor can it remember how you have the Exporter window set). And now with 21.4 restoring the old process tools (now called "Export"), everything works as before EXCEPT that the Recipes tool is limited to displaying the first 32 characters of recipe names regardless of the tool's width.

We users just have to adjust to some of the things C1 engineers (or marketing people) decided are "the right way". It's such a great program, though!
