    1. I have a few old images which I gave a name having iso and f-number in its name and once in a while I notice that they are missing in the catalog lib tool, including their folder. I could add them back (locate) but they didn't stay for good. This happened throughout various versions throughout the years and as I haven't identified the exact reason I since stay away from complex file or folder names. This seems to help C1 not to be confused.

    2. Every other mean I tried (other than locate file) was not successful, if I remember right, I remember having duplicates in the catalog if using "sync" for example, so I ended up removing duplicates and locate file again.

I've had a similar issue after the path to an external harddrive no longer corresponded to the path stored in my Capture One catalogue (not sure why or how this happened). I solved it by editing the catalogue using an SQLite editor (DB Browser for SQLite), though it still took quite a while. See this thread.

One thing that would have been useful was an option in Capture One to see the file paths stored in the catalogue.

It would be helpful if Capture One would at least show where it thinks the file is supposed to be rather than just saying it's missing, can't be found or corrupted.  Losing tack of files is not a minor issue.  This should be a high priority issue  for there developers to address in a robust manner.  Now I find myself investigating whether something like Photo Mechanic Pro might be a viable solution if it plays nicely with Capture One.  If the Capture One developers don't have the skill set to develop a robust DAM in house, it would be nice to see them partner up with someone else who can.

Here's a request for an option to see stored file paths for missing images.

As it is, the only way to see stored file paths is by using an SQLite editor.
