Unable to Activate Capture One 12 after a hard disk crash
I hate it when software companies try to force their customers away from products they purchased and have a "perpetual license" for, to go to a subscription model products to increase their profit margins.
I need to use the Capture One software I purchased and I hope someone responds to my support email so I can.
You are disrespecting your customers by hiding support and download links on your site for the previous versions of Capture One that customers paid for. I understand profit and the drive for perpetual cash subscription models but do not forget the rest of us.

Alex,
Your Title mentions "Unable to Activate" but your text does not mention that.
Should we (fellow users) understand that you need access to C1 V12 because your hard disk crash means you need to re-install?
You should be able to download V12 if you log in to your C1 account and head to "Order History" or simply go to the Download link where you will see the latest release suggested.
Scroll the screen up (i.e. drag the slider down) and you should see a link to "Download Previous version of Capture One".
Open that link and then scroll down to find the links for an earlier releases of V21 followed by the final releases of V20, etc, back to V10.
So far as I am aware there is no coercion to take on a subscription license and if, like me, you prefer a perpetual license then I would highly recommend you do not take on a subscription unless you create a new Capture One account to do so.
That said I am sure that Capture One, along with almost all other software developers, have observed the success that Abode has experienced through moving the commercial B2B subscription license concept into the consumer marketplace and would love to benefit from the same strong cash flow effect.
