HEIC - some thumbnails are crested -- some are grossly distorted

Capture One 21. Importing HEIC from Samsung S20 give excellent results. Except that a large percentage show gross distortion and cannot be edited. 

Top: distorted heic, not editable.
Bottom: looks pretty good.

Any suggestions? (Using Catalog, not session)

    Top one looks like the orientation has not been recognised. Is it an extreme aspect ratio or is that appearance just an artefact of the screen grab?

    If the grab is what it appears to be the Thumbnail looks OK but the Preview is stretched.

    That is the issue. The image is not imported. Only the thumbnail.
    I did submit a ticket and C1 recognized it is a known issue.

    Filed that bug too. Samsung S10 here. Horizontal images display ok, vertical do not.
