    I don't now if they disclosed more details than here:

    Not much detail about the upcoming new features. See a lot of folks blindly parting with their money before a demo or trial version is released., I like to see what I'm getting before I buy!.  I use excellent HDR & pano software I purchased for a lot less than this upgrade.

    If one is only interested in the upgrade for the potential new functionality (not the potential benefits of OS compatibility and any other features) it makes sense to wait and test what will be offered. The price differential is surely a small and insignificant difference in the overall decision-making process, isn't it?

    If one is going to upgrade anyway, taking the deal on offer and saving a small amount probably makes sense.

    @All, Thanks for your feedback.

    @BeO,

    If no more info is available than the marketing teaser in the link that you provided, I will skip this version once more. I'm still on version 20, since also version 21 didn't bring anything that had value for me.

    @Philip Martin,

    I regret that there are apparently no relevant details published about the pano stitching functionality. Capture One is repeating once more a similar sales practice as last year, when they tried to entice their customer base to pay for an upgrade without revealing anything w.r.t. what would be included in the upgrade package. This year, they make a lot of buzz about pano and HDR, but again, no relevant information is available to make an informed upgrade decision.

    You mention 'excellent HDR and pano software' that you've purchased elsewhere (for a better price than the upgrade offer). Obviously, I'm interested to know what software you refer to specifically. I'm most interested in the tool that you use for panoramic stitching, and whether it also supports a projection system that keeps horizontal lines straight. HDR is less relevant for me.

    PS: I currently use Affinity Photo for doing this kind of special PP actions, but unfortunately, AP's pano stitching lacks the ability to keep horizontal lines straight. I had some hopes that the announced pano functionality in C1 would be the 'ideal' solution (+ no roundtrips), but looking how vague the announcement remains, I have too little confidence in it. Furthermore, C1's broken functionality for keystone corrections (since many years now) is probably a further indication that the focus of C1 is not oriented towards architecture photography.

    @SFA,

    Sorry, but I never 'upgrade anyway'.

    I'm still on version 20 too and won't upgrade neither before I can test or beta-test.

    Affinity Photo pano stitching often (enough) has had a problem with dirty grey'ish sky colors around the stitched areas (though I didn't use AP with the latest versions in covid times). I sometimes used it though, in those cases where it stitched better than Microsoft ICE. The latter did usually do a better job for me. I seldom do architecture panos so I cannot comment on horizontal lines, but did you try ICE?

    "Sorry, but I never 'upgrade anyway'. "

    Neither do I. But some do. And anyone signing up for a subscription option, no matter which software developer is involved, will probably update anyway.

    Clearly, based on your most recent comment,  you already know the way these things are presented and progress in Capture One world.

    @BeO,

    Thanks for your feedback.

    I just searched the web for Microsoft ICE. Unfortunately, it appears that the project has been terminated by Microsoft, and will no longer be maintained or supported. Therefore, the app is also no longer available. Although ICE offered a selection of projection systems, I understand that rectilinear projections were apparently not supported.

    Kind regards.

    I think ICE went out of further development in 2014 or so, but it was offered to download ever since. Internet suggests this has changed, but you might get it from some servers still. I have to look too as I think I have deleted the setup progam...

    ICE is great tool if you don't need a manual keypoints selection. For manual there is Hugin and similar software,
