Closing/re-opening a session- last file worked

After closing a COP21 session and re-opening the same session later, the viewer opens to random files that I've edited instead of the last file worked with. Does anyone know of a way to change this to the last file edited? This is extremely frustrating as I typically have hundreds of images in a session, and waste time trying to pick up where I left off. This happens whether I am simply rating/culling images or sending to Photoshop CC for external editing.

  I share your frustation.

  Workaround:

  Mark your last editet photo with a specific color tag.

  When reopening C1 set the filter to this color and select the last edited photo.

  Then delete the color filter.
