Tether issues- "Busy" on back of camera and images are not showing in capture folder
Hi all,
This is my first post and I feel a bit lost. I do not know if this is the right place for my question but here are my issues. Also if I am in the wrong place, please advise where I should be posting. Thank you in advance.
I have a Canon 5D Mark IV, 15'Tether pro cable, an older Mac book pro, Capture One 12.
I have 2 issues- 1)When connected and and I press shutter release but the image only shows up in the capture folder 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, for some reason the photos show up in a new folder that is automatically created in my pictures folder, unrelated to any folders set up in Capture One. The folder is named with the date (Ie, 2021 11 3).
2)The other issue is- The back of my camera seems unresponsive and shows an image of a computer. In some cases the camera flashes "Busy" on the back of the camera or in the veiwfinder.
Is the cable too long? Am I running to old of a Capture One version? Is my hard drive to full and need more space (Have about 45gb of space available on hard drive)? Is the Mac too old? running Mojave.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Tim

Did you also install Canon software or anything else that could connect to the camera while it's tethered? Sound like two programs "fighting" over which one gets to use the camera.
