From what camera? Is it a supported camera?

How does one export "to" Capture One?  Or was that shorthand for saying "I can not import a file into Capture One that I exported from another app"?

And in line with Ian's question -- what is the format of the the DNG?  If it is the same as the Camera's raw output plus metadata containing adjustments be aware that Capture One won't know what to do with the adjustments.  They will be mostly ignored.  Or do the wrong thing.

If you want to use Capture One to do further editing (or storing) of images modified in other apps your best bet is to export the modified image as a TIFF with the edits baked in.

I have no problems with this. CaptureOne 21 Fuji had no problem picking up RAF files exported from DxO PL5 as DNG, maintaining adjustments made in DxO PL5.

What camera did you use and is it supported by your version of CaptureOne?

Did you re-synchronize the folder containing these files within CaptureOne?

I just had a ferret around in DxO Photolab 4 and it has an export to application option.

Of course, this doesn't mean C1 will be aware of the subsequent file.

Given that PhotoLab will - if asked - write adjustments to a DNG it exports (and I can't think of a reason to export a DNG from PL to Capture One unless you wanted DxO's adjustments), I wonder if the issue boils down to this?

NOTE: We do not support adjustments and settings from other applications embedded in DNG files.

(Marco's reply touches on this, but Capture One is pretty explicit that problems may lie down this route...)
