Could not activate because the upgrade limit is exceeded - upgrading from C1 11 to C1 21 on MAC M1X

    De- installing does not de-activate.  It sounds like you need to de-activate Capture One for one or more old machines before they will let you activate the current version.

    You can install the current version of Capture One and use Capture One -> Licenses... from the menu or you can log in to captureone.com and pick the Manage Licenses button.  If you don't see a big Manage Licenses button click on this icon to get to the proper page.

    I have clients waiting for images TODAY and this needs fixing pronto

    That isn't Capture One's fault. This is a clear RTFM situation.

    A simple site search would get you this:

    as per instructions, I have de-installed C1 11.

    Which instructions tell you to do that? As Marco says, uninstalling doesn't do anything useful in this scenario.
