"*Capture One 21 (14.4.1) is supported up to MacOS 11.6"

That's the danger of upgrading too soon. CaptureOne 21 does not officially support Monterey so you should not expect it to work - and if it does work it'll probably at least a few issues.

If you need to work with CaptureOne I'd suggest you downgrade to MacOS Big Sur.

Generally speaking: if you need your computer for work you should never change a running system without making 100% sure it'll still work afterwards.

It was working fine until two days ago... so worked fine for two weeks and now has suddenly slowed down.

The current version DOES support Monterey

Every time we upgrade our version of Capture One in the MacOS it does something the first time, seems its related to understand the system graphics capabilities for our computer... then creates a folder inside Application Support, but when we do upgrade MacOS this process does not happen again.

I have noticed some performance issues when updating between versions of "Big Sur" and what I do is this :

Having Capture One closed I do:

    • Delete folder "ImageCore" located under this path: ~/Library/Application\ Support/Capture\ One
(the symbol "~" means your home folder (e.g. /Users/YourName) )

    • Then I start Capture One again and wait until it finishes

I "feel" Capture One runs better after doing this... Not sure if will work on your computer, but it may be worth trying.

    best regards!

    Thanks Ramon,

I just gave that a try... sadly it is still pretty laggy.

    I appreciate the tip, though.

You are correct, the latest version does indeed support it.

Yet another case of Capture One stating something different on the technical specifications page of Capture One 21: Capture One Specifications

EDIT: Still, I'd advise caution! This OS is very new and it's very likely that there are some changes and issues that will not have been addressed - and in fact may never be addressed in Version21 now that Version 22 is soon to be released.

I've commented on similar other posts about this but just figured I'd chime in again and confirm that I'm seeing the same thing on Monterey with Canon R5 files. I'm on a new M1 Max MacBook Pro and am not seeing quite the length of delay you are (mine are more like 1 to 2 second delays in response) but it's driving me crazy as I do event work and going through a few thousand images with these slowdowns is brutal.

So after exhausting all other resources, I restored my Mac to Big Sur and C1 is zipping right along again... sigh...

Just curious if anyone has found a workaround for the missing "open in low resolution" option in Mac OS Monterey?
