Question about the import method
Good evening
I would like to know how to reset the entries that are mentioned in "Import from".
In fact it is residue which clutters this part after a while of work. I have a huge birds file library which complicates things a bit.
I found a solution is to edit the XML file which is in AppData / Local / Capture_One then to destroy the lines which correspond to the residuals. I think there is another more secure method than my brutal way.
I am, of course, interested in your ideas.
thanks in advance

I answer my question.
You have to create a new session and therefore this resets the paths to the files, then deletes the old actions.Indeed, the current method (s) is not very simple, I think it would have been easier to attack the files directly (at the source) and then copy them to a space provided for this modification purpose which is the case in the session system.
As I come from Nikon and the organization is done directly with NXStudio, the stars and colors of the labels are managed by this software, which no longer engages C1 21 in this action ...

I don't suffer from the issue you described because I use WIndows Explorer to copy my images to the Session Capture Folder, or in a folder hierarchy if I use a catalog (though for the catalog I should have a similar issue, but the list only holds x many items).
My advice: You should decide whether or not to create a new session based on other workflow considerations, how do you work on current projects, how do you want to structure your final stock of images, etc. Maybe a catalog (or several catalogs) with its filter functions / albums or smart albums (etc.) is something to consider too, or instead. If you are not familiar yet with Sessions and catalogs, there are many resources (online help and video webinars) which gives you a good clue about C1. I think it is worthwhile to do some research, and some play around, to conclude the way you want to organize images with C1 and how your workflow should be, right from the start. You can change things later but with extra effort.

Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my point of view.
In fact, I don't have a very specific project. I am a wildlife photographer and I have an tree of directories by species and years where the NEF images are stored.
I use C1 only to proceed with the NEF => GIF then I apply certain adjustments, light, sharpness, cropping, etc and transports them to Topaz and PS6 to finalize my processing in JPG.
This only for certain images that I chose in particular to publish in Flickr, or magazines or even in my WWW site. But it remains a fairly simple choice.Voilà!
