TextItem setting not updated

It seems that the value of the TextItem is only set in the settings when using the "tab" key to leave the control. If another control is modified or you press the "Edit with" button, the value does not update.

This leads to very inconsistent behaviour. I think the best solution would be that any text input / key stroke sets the setting and triggers ValidateSettings.
