Can I close C1 while previews are generating?

I recently moved 33K images to a NAS drive and for whatever reason C1 decided to rebuild most of those previews.  A day later here with 10 hours to go and I have to restart my system but don't know if closing C1 during this preview generating process will disrupt or cause any problems.

    It shouldn't cause problems. It can always start generating previews next time you use it.

    Thank you!  With a process so long I did not want to start over!  :-)
