Moving files without interrupting user collection or catalog?
I'm hoping there is an easy way to do this.
I use Catalog's and create albums under user sessions for organization. The images themselves are in various locations (some on my main hard drive, others on external hard drives). My question is, I want to move the location of images from one hard drive to another, but want to keep my catalog and user session albums as it.
I remember trying this with a small group of images awhile back and I just remember it didn't work and I had to manually go and find each image after the fact (relocate or find I think it's called).
Is there an easy way to do this?

Move the files within Capture One using tools in the Catalog and the internal references should be updated as you do it.
If you move the files Outside Capture One - using Window features for example - you would then need to Locate them afterward.
If your Albums are smart albums they should be able to update themselves when the new locations are linked back to the catalog. However, if the Albums are manually created collections they may need to be re-created UNLESS you action the MOVES using functions internal to Capture One.
I'm not a full-time user of Catalogs so other users may have a more complete description of the best options for you.
