Capture One 20/21 not Recognizing Nikon D810 on New 16in MacBook Pro M1.
I have a new fully spec'd out 16in MacBook Pro M1(Mac OS Monterey 12.0.1) I have just received last week, and it will not recognize my Nikon D810 whatsoever in Capture one 20 or 21.
I tried a friends Canon 5D Mk IV on the new laptop, and it worked perfectly, with the same tether cables, and same ports on the laptop. I'll also mention, my D810 will still tether perfectly with my fully Spec'd MacBook Pro (mid 2015) in Capture One 20 and 21 (I'm mentioning to eliminate and questions about the condition of the tether port on the camera.)
I have also just reinstalled the firmware on the camera, even though it was up to date, I was suspecting that perhaps it could have been corrupted. Still no luck...
I'm trying to conclude if this is a Capture One problem on the newly released M1 machine when it comes to Nikon? Or is it that Nikon needs to update their D810 firmware? I have yet to try the D850(my last leap in this troubleshooting process)
One last thing I'll mention is that I shot some photos on the D810 and loaded the card into the capture session and it looks totally fine, so the issue of recognizing the raw has been ruled out as well.
Please let me know if anyone has had any similar issues!
Thank you.

You have not mentioned it so I will ask just for completeness.
In the Preferences for Capture One, specifically the Capture tab, is Nikon ticked as manufacturer to be recognised?

make sure there are no cards in the camera

Yes, I made sure only the Nikon camera system was ticked under the Preferences>Capture Tab.
I also tried tethering with, and without cards in the camera, no luck either way.
I'd like to know if anyone HAS had any luck tethering a D810 to the new M1? Or the D850?
The Nikon D810 Firmware hasn't been updated in a couple years, perhaps it's up to Nikon to sort this out?

Hello Zackery, I have exactly the same issue. I was wondering if you found a solution? No luck for me yet :(
